Main brush
The main brush is the roller under the robot that lifts debris into the bin. Hair and pet fur wrap around it, the bristles gradually lose their stiffness, and cleaning gets noticeably weaker.
Bristle and silicone versions are available for Xiaomi and Mijia, Roborock, Dreame, iLife and Ecovacs. Price depends on the model.

Bristle or silicone
A bristle roller pulls more dust out of carpet; a silicone one tangles far less with long hair and washes more easily. On hard floors the difference is barely there.
Worth checking at the same time
The bearing and the end cap wear along with the roller. If the brush rattles or wobbles, look at those too.
