Drive wheel module
The drive wheel is a complete module: motor, gearbox, sprung strut and tyre. The tyre wears, the gearbox gets noisy, and less often the encoder gives out.
Modules for Xiaomi and Mijia, Roborock, Dreame, iLife and Ecovacs. Price depends on the model.

Signs
The robot pulls to one side, spins its wheels on carpet, squeaks or crunches as it moves. A wheel jam error belongs here too.
Whole module or parts
The module is replaced complete — faster and more reliable than rebuilding a gearbox. Look at both wheels while you are in there; the second one is rarely far behind.
