Water tank
The water tank is the reservoir with a valve that feeds the mop. It cracks along the seams, loses its seal, and the valve gums up from hard water.

Leaking under the robot
Check the O-ring and the valve first — both are cheaper than the tank and are more often the cause. A crack in the shell shows up against the light if you fill it and hold it over a sink.
About the water
Put nothing but water in it. Cleaning liquids leave a residue that eventually stops the valve from sealing.
