Main brush motor (gearbox)

The main brush motor drives the roller under the robot. It wears at the gears: first a crunching noise under load, then the brush stops turning and the robot throws an error.

Drive units for Xiaomi and Mijia, Roborock, Dreame, iLife and Ecovacs. Price depends on the model.

Before you replace it

Wrapped hair and a jammed roller throw the same error as a dead gearbox. Pull the brush and turn the drive by hand — if it moves freely and quietly, the motor is fine.

What you get

Normally the motor and gearbox share one housing. Individual gears are rarely available, so replacing the whole unit is simpler and quicker.
