LiDAR / LDS module
The LiDAR module is the spinning laser rangefinder the robot maps a room with. It fails from knocks, from hair wound around its axle, and simply from the cap bearing wearing out.
LDS modules for Xiaomi and Mijia, Roborock, Dreame and Ecovacs. Price depends on the model.

Symptoms
A laser blocked error, a map that will not build or drifts apart, a grinding noise from under the cap. Sometimes clearing hair off the axle is all it takes — try that before ordering.
Fitting
The module sits on a ribbon cable and the cap needs care coming off. If you would rather not risk the ribbon, we will do it in the workshop.
