Dock compressor
The dock compressor pulls dust out of the robot’s bin and into the bag. It weakens as the motor brushes wear and suffers from blockages in the duct — airflow drops and noise rises.

It is not emptying
Bag and duct first: a full bag or hair in the channel chokes the airflow completely. The compressor is checked last — by ear it either pulls or just howls.
