Side brush
The side brush sweeps along skirting boards and pushes debris under the robot. It wears down and splays out faster than anything else on the machine, which is why it gets replaced most often — usually as a set.

How to tell it is done
The arms have splayed out and no longer spring back, the tips are worn flat, and a line of debris stays along the walls. Hot water straightens them, but that trick works once or twice at most.
Fitment
Check the arm count and the mount — three-arm and five-arm brushes are not interchangeable even within one brand. Tell us the model and we will match it.
